Binding decoration
Small holes are visible in the spine fold of the quires, one close to the head and one close to the tail of the codex. Small holes are visible in the centre fold of the quires, one close to the head and one close to the tail of the codex. The quires and the leather cover are sewn together by two (some quires with three) horizontal threads passing through two holes on each quire. In the centre fold of most quires a piece of thread lies between the horisontal threads and the parchment. ff. of quire I is sewn together by crude vertical stitches.
